I am not easy to love. I can be selfish, prone to hurt feelings, not great with boundaries, and slow to change.

But this does not make me undeserving of love.

May I never lose my gratitude for the people who are not afraid to love me when I am anything but lovely.

Love well. When all else is stripped away, love and our people are all we’ve got.
