10 Things I Didn’t Know About Marriage (but I wish someone told me)

About Jessica

Hi,

I'm Jessica.

I'm a writer, musician, entrepreneur, wife, and infant loss/adoption mother. I've journaled on scratch paper my whole life, but when my first son died, the words just started tumbling out.  I needed something I just couldn't find - someone else who would tell me the truth about how hard loss is, and who could shine light into the dark places of grief and recovery.  I hope I can be that person for you.

My husband Jack and I are both entrepreneurs and take turns clearing our kids' stuff off the kitchen table so we can work side by side on our laptops.  He coaches baseball and I run and practice yoga.  I write "real."  None of what you'll find from me is fluffy because life isn't fluffy.  It's full of heartache and growth, and beautiful redemption too.

I wrote my first book, Joy Comes in the Mourning: Living in Love and Walking in Light after Losing a Child, in celebration of my son LJ’s 10th birthday.  You can purchase it exclusively at www.getjoy.shop.
